To ensure that your bond is refunded in full, please read the following terms and conditions, discussing any queries or concerns before pick up date. The term hirer refers to the owner ExpandYa Horizons while the term hiree depicts the customer. We ask you to sign the designated space at the end to acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these terms. Thank you!

PICK UP AND RETURN

The van is to be collected from and returned to the specified address at Bunya, Qld 4055 at agreed times unless otherwise negotiated.

MONEY MATTERS

Weekly rate is as per our pricing schedule. Long weekends and extended hire can also be negotiated. A deposit of 25% of the total hire is required at time of booking to secure dates. A $550 security bond is required, which is fully refundable, subject to the terms and conditions of hire. I nsurance costs are included in the cost of hire. In the case of accident or damage, the bond is to cover expense incurred or the insurance excess where necessary. The total hire is to be paid on or before departure. Late returns are charged at $100 per day or and / or loss of bond unless otherwise agreed to by ExpandYa Horizons.

We accept cash, cheque (must be cleared before van pickup) or bank deposit. Where necessary, if you need to pay hire by credit card then PayPal payments can be organised . PayPal payments for the bond amount are actually preferred as refunds are extremely easy to implement.

CANCELLATIONS

In the case of cance l lation or a no show the deposit is forfeited. However, if an alternative booking is found for that period of time then ExpandYa Horizons may refund said deposit at their discretion. Early returns for whatever reason are not refundable.

HOUSEKEEPING

The hire van is to be returned both clean and tidy . Failure to do so will in cur a charge against your bond of $50. Smoking is not permitted in our vans and we ask that close proximity to wood smoke is also avoided. Pets are not permitted inside vans. When packing, please avoid placing objects where marking or damage to the floor or panels may occur during transit.

EQUIPMENT

The hiree agrees to ensure familiarity with procedures pertaining to towing and set up of hired equipment before van leaves the premises of ExpandYa Horizons and agrees that equipment shall be used exclusively for intended purpose while in care of the hiree. Any existing wear / tear or minor damage to any vans will be pointed out upon hire of the vehicle.

ACCIDENT OR DAMAGE

It is agreed that hiree is taking full responsibility for hired equipment and that all care will be taken to minimise risk of accident, theft or damage to the hired caravan. In the case of an accident or incident, it is imperative that ExpandYa Horizons be informed with expedience and that relevant police reports are obtained by the hiree. Where another party is involved, it is imperative the other driver's name, address, license and insurance details are recorded as well as the registration, make and model of other vehicles involved. The cost of repairs to any damage (other than expected wear and tear) shall be deducted from the bond in part or in total. Punctured or blown tyres are to be replaced before van is returned to ExpandYa Horizons. The hirer shall not be liable for any expenses, injury or property damage incurred through any accident or incident during hire period.

The provided Jayco manual explains the limited offroad conditions suitable for a Jayco Expanda. "Off Road" means all major roads and sundry roads, dirt or bitumen, other than 4WD tracks labeled "4WD only". Swollen waterways are not to be crossed at any time. Common sense is imperative in regard to where hiree chooses to take hired van.

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

For insurance purposes it is imperative that the driver be over 25 years of age, hold a current open licence issued in Australia, not have been refused motor vehicle insurance or been found guilty of driving offences in the last five years. The tow vehicle must be both comprehensively insured and registered in accordance with state or territory requirements. The driver/s must obey all road rules and never drive under the influence.
